The Grading Syllabus is broken down into four Sash colors which are: red, green, blue and black. Each grade is a progression of skill and technique and covers the full Lun Gai Foshan Wing Chun system.
1-4 Red Sash
Exponent is awarded “Red Sash” after having attended class regularly for 3 months and can fulfill the requirements. Skills developed whilst “Red Sash”: Siu Lim Tao, Dan Chi Sau, Applications of Blocks, basic kick techniques.
4-8 Green Sash
Skills developed whilst “Green Sash”: Chum Kui, Bridge Building, Chin Na, Chi Sau, Kicking Techniques, Redirecting Force, Sticky Leg, Sparring, Basic “Butterfly” Sword Form.
8-12 Blue Sash
Skills developed whilst “Blue Sash”: Sticky Legs, Chi Sau, Gor Sau, Sparring, Applications with Force, Basic Pole Form and Sword Form, Third Form, Chin Na.
12 Black Sash
